Just a hop, skip and a ferry ride away, Nantucket takes you out of reality and into a beautiful world of hydrangeas and cobblestone roads.
Nantucket is just an hour ferry ride from Hyannis, MA which makes it easy to spend one day or 10 days on this quaint island.
How to get to Nantucket:
Where to eat on Nantucket:
Aunt Leah’s Fudge
Where to shop on Nantucket:
(they pour you a dark & stormy while you shop!)
We were lucky to get a gorgeous blue skied day when visiting last week with Shop Nantucket!
A few words of advice when traveling over to Nantucket:
DRESS IN LAYERS
The Ferry ride can be cold from the wind outside and the AC inside. Also, the temperature can change on the island depending on how much sun is shining at that moment.
WEAR COMFORTABLE, FLAT SHOES
You will be doing a lot of walking and mostly on cobblestone. Trust me, wear the flats.
POP INTO EVERY STORE OR RESTAURANT THAT YOU CAN
Every stop is so unique and different. Even if you do not plan on buying or eating anything, check out the decor. There is so much inspiration on this island!
BRING A PORTABLE CHARGER FOR YOUR PHONE
Some areas of the island will have spotty service that will rain your battery so you will want to have a back up. Also, you will probably be snapping every inch of this beautiful island and will want to share on social media! You will need the juice!
ENJOY THE VOYAGE
Take in as much as you can. The island is a great adventure that is full of trendy shops and restaurants, a lot of history, and views that you will never forget!
I want to give a BIG thank you to Shop Nantucket for sponsoring this post. Please check out their website for a full directory of Nantucket shopping & dining.
