Welcome to the Voyage Gallery!
I consider myself to be one lucky lady to have traveled to so many beautiful countries in this amazing world! Here are a few tips that I have learned to help retain the memories from my great adventures:
- When you arrive at your destination, find a gift shop and buy a small journal. Throughout each day, write down your experiences and names of restaurants, shops, attractions, cocktails, etc. When I am in a non-English speaking country, I take note of words or phrases that the locals teach me. If you ever go back, you will have your little cheat sheet of the best and not-so-best of that city. Also, you can pass the book along to friends or family who are traveling to that city to use as a guide.
- Take brochures, magazines, and business cards from all hotels, restaurants, clubs or shops. Put everything in a folder marked with the city name when you get home.
- Take pictures everywhere (as long as it is allowed!) even if you feel awkward in a crowd of people. You will never get that moment back!
- Purchase a treasure! I usually buy jewelry and try to avoid clothes. The clothing could shrink, pill, etc and once you out-wear it, that treasure will be gone. My Mom and her husband purchase shot glasses in every city which is a great conversation piece in their bar room at home.
Most importantly, enjoy every minute of your travels and explore as much as you can! Below are some of my favorite places in the world….
